Stephanie and Max’s family includes their 12-year-old cat Alex; 9-year-old Lab Inca and 16-month-old guide dog in training Forest. They have always had no less than three pets in their home at one time. They were looking for a kitten to join their family now since Forest would be leaving the puppy raising phase and headed on to bigger responsibilities in December. Stephanie had seen Maisy’s photo and writeup in the doctor’s office where a Satchel’s volunteer is employed. Maisy’s personality was described by her foster mom as very loving and cuddly and this sounded like a great fit. When they met Maisy it was love at first sight and when they learned that Meadow and the rest of her litter had already been adopted they knew they wanted to adopt this “last kitten”. Now known as Misty, this adorably sweet kitten gets along great with her feline and canine siblings, although she has especially bonded with Forest and loves to play and cuddle with her. Stephanie says that Misty’s favorite nighttime sleeping spot is far under the covers, but she has recently decided to cuddle closer by sleeping between Mom and Dad at the pillows. Not only are they thrilled with being able to adopt Misty, but also wanted to thank Satchel’s for all that they do and her foster mom who gave excellent care and nurturing to Meadow and all of her kittens.
