Chio is one of the three precious pups that Satchel’s Last Resort recently took in as part of a cruelty case from Sarasota County Animal Services. The case is still under investigation, and we can not post the details of the case on social media. However, he is a survivor of a traumatic incident. When we received Chio, he had multiple abrasions to his feet and belly. His mandible was also broken and it is unclear if this was a result of the event or a separate injury.
Chio is recovering from his ordeal in a foster home where he is receiving all the love and attention he needs. He is now available for adoption and ready to start the next chapter of his life. Chio is a sweet boy but it does take him some time to warm up to new people. He will make a great companion for a calm and quiet household. If you are interested in Chio, please fill out the adoption application (no obligation) on our website satchelslastresort.org.
We are only able to do what we do because of you. Satchel’s is funded by private donations and dogs like Chio are able to get the medical care they need because of your generous donors.
Please come celebrate what would be the 34th birthday of Satchel the dog and Satchel’s Last Resort’s 20th year of rescuing animals in need. The party will be on September 9th from 6-10 pm at Big Top Brewing Co, 975 Cattlemen Road.
Admission to this fun party is free and you’ll enjoy Origins Pizza, Clean Plate Club and Carousel Creamery Food Trucks, The Kara Nally Band, a Big Raffle, and Wristbands for $1-off beers! All proceeds from the party go to support our medical fund.
