Presley ain’t nothin’ but a hound dog…crying all the time. If a baying hound dog is not music to your ears, he is not the dog for you. However, if it is, he is an amazing boy. He will get all your neighbors’ attention for sure. Just make sure that you live in an environment where his vocal habits will be accepted. He is not an apartment, condo, or villa dog. We received Presley from a county shelter where he was doing the “Jailhouse Rock” after being picked up as a stray with a large thick chain being dragged behind him.
Presley will be starting treatment for heartworm disease in a couple of weeks and is looking for a foster-to-adopt home for the next few months until his treatment is complete. He is very affectionate and will lean into your petting. He is good with other dogs and we believe that he could live with a cat. Presley is a young, active boy and once his heartworm treatment is over he would likely make a great jogging buddy. Presley could also live with children. He is estimated to be not much more than a year old and weighs less than 50 lbs. For an appointment to meet him, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will be in touch. You will be “All Shook Up” over Presley if you meet this boy.
