For Karen, every day was an opportunity to celebrate life. She was a joy, she was fun. She always found ways to make life better for those around her. She adored her husband Cass Patrick and her much anticipated grandson, Cass Payson. She was a devoted dog mom to Carrie Rose, Gustavo Di Francoli and Antonietta Di Quera.
She loved to cook and share recipes, she loved to bake; she loved the great outdoors, she loved to spend time with her family and she loved her friends. She was an amazing woman with whom I wish I could have spent more time. She was fine one week and gone the next. A testament to making sure those around you know how much you care about them. Karen was devoted to her animals, so in lieu of flowers, her family requested donations to Satchel’s. As a tribute to her life, her family trust made a bequest to Satchel’s in her memory. We’re incredibly grateful and wanted to do something lasting and special in Karen’s memory – we installed much needed solar lights in our largest dog yard commemorating the light that Karen was in this world and that her light still shines.
