Happy Landings for Miranda (now known as Freya)! Adoption follow up.
Danielle’s employer, Stantec Consulting Services, had participated in a Community Outreach Day volunteering at Satchels when she met Miranda. She had no plans to adopt as they had lost two seniors last year and then adopted three more over time. But the stars were aligned and a few weeks later, Miranda now known as Freya, joined the family and has adapted exceptionally well. She is getting along great with her two husky siblings, Hades and Leda, but has become particularly bonded with her golden retriever sister, Hera and they delight in chasing each other around the backyard. Freya’s feline sister Athena isn’t interested in interacting with Freya, but has fully accepted her into the family. Although Danielle was the one who chose Freya and had to convince her husband to add another dog to their household, Freya has grown extremely fond of him and if he walks out the door, she will move the curtain to see where he went. Recently they had a household full of family visitors, including three extra adults and three kids and Freya was more than happy being loved on and patient with the kids. Danielle says that Freya “has filled a hole in our hearts. We are so happy to have her in our family and thank you Satchel’s for letting us adopt!”
