Happy Landings for Wade! Adoption follow up.
In August, Bob and Kim’s 12-year-old rescue dog had passed away. Despite not actively seeking another dog, two Satchel’s volunteers were persistent in telling Bob about 14-year-old Wade. Although Wade was receiving plenty of love, care and attention from staff and volunteers, he desperately needed to find a home, as shelter life had become very stressful for him. Bob and Kim eventually decided to meet Wade and after witnessing his gentle and affectionate nature, they chose to foster him. It only took one week before they had closely bonded with Wade and made the decision to officially adopt. Wade now enjoys a new lease on life and is thriving. Even at his age, Bob says Wade loves long walks, often covering two miles effortlessly. He has regained his appetite, put on weight, and thoroughly enjoys lying in the sun on the lanai. When he’s had enough sunshine, he will take comfort in a chair inside, one of his new favorite spots. Wade also has a favorite place on the couch and a dog bed with pillow and blanket in their office. Once it’s time for pre-dinner drinks and human snacks, he enjoys cuddling up on the outdoor furniture with Bob and Kim. At the end of his blissful days, he seeks out his treasured spot on their bed enjoying sweet dreams of his new life.
Wade has truly hit the jackpot with his new family and will enjoy happy days ahead in his dream home come true!
