Happy Landings for Nellie! Adoption follow up.
Following the passing of her beloved dog a few years ago, Gina was ready for a small canine companion. In the meantime, she had also applied with Satchel’s to foster and after Nellie underwent her CCL surgery in November 2024, Gina and Vince were prepared to foster her during her lengthy recovery period. Initially, they intended to foster her for a few weeks, but they developed a strong bond and decided they wanted her to become a permanent member of their family. During Nellie’s recovery, she exhibited some reactivity towards other dogs during walks. However, with guidance from Morgan of Rightway Rover, Nellie has made significant progress and Gina now carries a squirt gun during their walks, which has worked magic on Nellie’s negative behavior. Nevertheless, she is absolutely delighted when she has the opportunity to play with the water spray from the hose in her yard. She also loves to run laps around and around the yard and has become a master at this performance. Nellie, a sweet and fun loving girl has found her permanent family through the foster program and will enjoy a wonderful life ahead!
