Kerry learned about Joey from a previous Satchel’s volunteer, became his foster mom and recently finalized his adoption. Joey was pretty shy at first. He felt safe in his bed and spent a lot of time there just watching. But fast forward a few months and he is a silly, happy, and sweet boy. Joey loves to play ball or chase a Frisbee in the back yard. He likes going for walks and meeting people and other dogs. He has a friendly trot that makes people smile. Kerry’s only challenge is that Joey has separation anxiety, but Kerry has been working with a certified dog trainer/behaviorist with the hope that Joey will be able to overcome this with time and patience. Kerry adores him and says that he is a wonderful companion for her!
