In the summer of 2016, this boy was scheduled for euthanasia due to overcrowding at a county shelter. When they reached out to us, we immediately responded positively. This handsome dude was guessed to be only about 2 years and had so much living still to do. He had an abscess on his neck that needed to be removed, so off to the vet we went. To everyone’s surprise, there was a bullet lodged in the abscess. The bullet was successfully removed, but Watson turned out to be a bit of a handful, having some issues when it came to certain strangers, and so remained at Satchel’s for over 3 years until “his people” came into his life. It was truly love at first site for all 3 of them. Esteban and Ally came to meet Watson everyday for over a week so we could all be comfortable with him going home with them, although there was clearly no doubt from the first minute of meeting. We knew 2 of his most favorite things in life were car rides and napping and it seems he likes some lap snuggling also. These pictures tell it all. Thank you Esteban and Ally for taking our special Watson into your loving home. Congratulations to all 3 of you!
