This week is Adopt a Less-Adoptable Pet week. Take a peek at this article https://www.geniusvets.com/…/dogs/blog/less-adoptable-pets.
Did you know that The American Staffordshire Terrier is the least likely breed to be adopted? The chances are even worse for Staffordshire Terrier’s who are not babies, as they get adopted at a rate of less than 50%. Chihuahuas and pit bull terriers are the two most common breeds available, and also among the least likely to be adopted.
Less adoptable can be because of age, size, breed, behavioral or medical issues. At Satchel’s we believe all dogs and cats deserve a home to fit their needs and we give them time to find their perfect home. Some, such as Brooke, take much longer than others.
Brooke is 12 years old and has been at Satchel’s much of her adult life. Brooke is an independent girl looking for a quiet home to spend her retirement years. She walks well on leash and enjoys her car rides. She does not care for other pets and needs to be your one and only. If you’re looking for a senior companion to chill with you while vegging at night, please submit an adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and make an appointment to meet her today.
