Lilee is the third and final dog we recently took in from a Sarasota County Animal Services cruelty case. As mentioned in prior posts, the case is still under investigation and we can not discuss the details on social media.
When we received Lilee, she had suffered an incredibly traumatic event. She had several abrasions and lacerations to all her feet and her belly requiring daily wound care and cleaning. She also had a broken pelvis requiring surgical repair and a hernia that may still require surgical intervention. Thankfully we had a wonderful medical foster (and veterinarian) to help her every step of the way and give her the care and comfort she needed.
Lilee is an approximately 16-pound, 4-year-old, Yorkie mix. It does take her a little bit of time to warm up to new people but once she does, she is a lovely girl. She seems to like other dogs with a slow introduction. Now that she has healed up a bit, she will be moving to a foster-to-adopt home. If all goes well, the foster will make it official and she can start the next chapter of her life.
We are only able to do what we do because of you. Please help us continue our life-saving work and party with us at our next event – Satchel’s Giving Day and Birthday Party. The party will be on September 9th from 6-10 pm at Big Top Brewing Co, 975 Cattlemen Road.
Admission to this fun party is free and you’ll enjoy Origins Pizza, Clean Plate Club and Carousel Creamery Food Trucks, The Kara Nally Band, a Big Raffle, and Wristbands for $1-off beers! All proceeds from the party go to support our medical fund.
Can’t attend the party but would like to support Satchel’s medical fund, please donate at https://satchelslastresort.networkforgood.com/…/90180… and write “SGD” in the note section.
