July continues to be a heartbreaking month for staff and volunteers at Satchel’s as we said goodbye to Redford yesterday. RIP sweet boy, it’ll be so strange to enter the cat room and not have your smiling face greet everyone but I know you’re smiling the all the kitties who left us before you. Here’s a tribute to Redford from staff member Lacie.
Redford may not have made Satchel’s his home for very long, but the pawprints he left on the staff and volunteers hearts will last forever. He was a very sweet, affectionate, gentle fellow who loved people. He loved laying on the cat towers, waiting for someone to walk in so he could greet them with a soothing meow. He also enjoyed sun bathing and napping in the warm glow. He was one of the few that really enjoyed canine companionship so much, he could have been one of them. He was a real gentlemen and he will be missed by all of us who knew him.
