Our followers will know that a couple of months ago we took in Apollo and Rocky – two deaf and blind 19 year old poodles who had lost their person but weren’t quite ready to leave this world themselves. These amazing old guys have enjoyed some quality of life at Satchel’s, going out in the yards roaming with staff and volunteers, enjoying all the new smells and attention. This past week, Apollo and Rocky started to show less interest in life and yesterday we made the decision it was time to let them move on. As tough as it was to make that decision, we had peace knowing that they received much love every day right until the end. RIP sweet boys!
