Pippen was found wandering as a stray on Longboat Key by a longtime Satchel’s supporter who brought him to Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services to help him find his way home. After his stray hold was up, we decided to take him in and quickly learned he was suffering from painful bladder stones. After needing emergency surgery, he began his healing journey in the home of one of our amazing fosters, Carlene.
Marie had recently lost her beloved rescue dog and was finally ready to open her heart again. Pippen, now renamed Teddy, and Marie hit it off from the start. Marie says Teddy has filled her life with the companionship she so deeply missed and is so grateful to spend her days with her new best friend. Congratulations to Marie and Teddy!
