Determined, lively, with a giant personality, our little Lady Bug is truly a one of a kind. She is a Chihuahua/Pug mix and is ten years young. Her looks are quite unique and she has what we refer to as a “fawn” tail, something we have yet to come across. She loves to be on the move and goes from a brisk walk to a small gallop when out on an adventure with volunteers. When in the yards, this little one travels everywhere, sniffing everything she can, and leaping through tall grass. She is always excited to meet a new person, and walks up to everyone as if they have been old friends. She adores car rides, and will try to get in anyone’s vehicle given the chance. She has also went on walks side by side with some of our other smaller residents here at Satchel’s and has done well. She is not overly excited when it comes to toys, she might play with a small soft toy here and there, but prefers a soft bed after outside time. She surprisingly is not all about treats either, and can also be pretty picky with meal time, though she is quite stocky, with little legs. She is very independent and while she likes her cuddle time, she is not a fan of being picked up or made to do something if she doesn’t want to.
Lady Bug has been diagnosed with heartworm disease and is undergoing medical monitoring to determine if she is currently strong enough to start heartworm treatment. We are looking for a temporary foster home or a foster-to-adopt home while she receives her medical care.
If you are interested in taking this little gem into your home, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will be in touch to set up a meet and greet.
