Sugars came in with her sister a couple of years ago, both very shy and timid. Recently, Sugars has started coming out to greet us, no quick movement or loud noises or she will run and hide in her safe place. With the help of volunteers and staff members, she is coming out of her shell slowly. Sugars likes walking from room to room, checking to see if there is anything interesting going on. She is a big nap time girl, from laying out on the patio sunbathing with eyes dreaming, or inside her favorite hiding place curled up with a friend. She feels comfortable approaching people when they are giving pets, or sitting on the floor, and has come out to sit next to some she considers a friend. She loves getting scratched, a good face rub and she will adore you. She has shown interest in the string cat toys, but avoids some of our other feline friends when playing. She hasn’t let anyone pick her up yet, but if the right person could boost her confidence, a lap cat is in the making. If you have a little patience to help this precious girl learn to trust in a home, please complete the no obligation application found on or website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will get back to you to schedule an appointment for you to meet her.
