Howie was surrendered to a vet for euthanasia because of his diabetes and blindness. Not wanting to end the life of this middle-aged young man, the clinic reached out to Satchel’s for help to find Howie a perfect home. He was reported to be 8 years old, but acts much younger.
Howie’s diabetes is managed with insulin and this cutie is looking to get the most out of life. He enjoys short walks and appears friendly with people and dogs. When hanging at home, he loves a lap to sit in. He is social boy who seeks attention.
Howie is potty trained but does require frequent outs during the day. He is crate-trained and, in his foster home, happily sleeps through the night without incident.
For an appointment to meet Howie, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will be in touch.
