Many of our followers will remember Riley who came to us from a rescue in Ohio to escape euthanizer back in 2019. This poor young girl didn’t have an easy start to life and the rescue was told by many they consulted that she would never be a dog able to go into a home and have a “normal” life due to her behavioral issues. Not able to deal with a dog with Riley’s issues, the rescue reached out to Satchel’s. Although we try to stay local when taking in animals, there was just something about this girl we couldn’t give up on. And neither could the rescue, contacting us time and time again for months. Riley joined our Rescue.Rehab.Rehome program to see what better life we could provide for this 2- year-old baby. Satchel’s give time. Time to trust, time to love, time to grow. Just over a year ago, it seemed Riley was ready to go into a home with an experienced dog handler. Along came Nicole. After spending a lot of time with Riley, Nicole adopted her into the family. Wow, how far Riley has come! She’s living her dream life with Nicole and family and I’m told is one amazing girl. Thank you for the new pics Nicole, she looks so happy and healthy.
