Howie was surrendered to a vet clinic to be euthanized. Mostly blind due to having diabetes, but only 8 years old and such a happy guy who clearly wasn’t done living yet, the veterinarian took ownership of Howie and started the process of rehoming him. After a couple of unsuccessful months, she reached out to Satchel’s for help. Howie joined our family and immediately went into a foster home. It took just 3 weeks for Martha to read Howie’s story on social media and make an appointment to meet him. No question that this adorable boy would make a great addition to Martha’s crew of a dog and 2 cats. He’s now home and will lead a full life.
