Mike had not been searching for a dog to adopt, but his daughter had mentioned to him that there was a dog at Satchel’s who looked very similar to his Golden doodle, Lucia. Mike learned that Nephele was going to be at the Pet Supplies Plus event in early December and decided to go see her. He noticed how comfortable Nephele was with all of the people and dogs going in and out of the store and also interacting with children. He spent some time with Nephele and decided to fill out an application. Once his application was approved, Mike took Lucia to meet Nephele and was so happy when he heard she would be joining his family. Now known as Nelly, she and Lucia are great buddies. They get two walks every day and love to run, run, run in the side yard until they are all tired out. Mike said that it was an extra special adoption as he met her just before the Holidays and his family were so happy to be able to open up their hearts and home. He also wanted to express his thoughts on how wonderful Satchel’s is to be out in the community giving so many animals the exposure they need to find a good home. He thanks all of the staff and volunteers for taking such wonderful care of the animals. Nelly fits in perfectly with Mike’s family and has the perfect canine sister to grow up with!
