Craig and Patricia have been adopting rescue dogs for many years and were already the loving owners of five adopted dogs; three with one eye, one blind and deaf and a lab that doesn’t like water! Their latest rescue, Blossom, loves all of her canine siblings but being a young active puppy, she was truly in need of a canine buddy to keep her occupied with plenty of fun playtime. The family had learned about Satchel’s through one of the cat volunteers and initially went to meet Erika as they like to rescue dogs who may be somewhat harder to adopt out. Erika was not the right fit, but when they met Honey Bear, they thought she would be a great match for Blossom. With the five dogs loaded into the car, they headed over to Satchel’s to introduce each one to Honey Bear and all five dogs approved of this sweet girl. Now known as Honey, she has settled into her new home quickly. Never mind that young Blossom is blind and deaf, as she and Honey are the perfect playmates and happily wear each other out. Craig and Patricia feel that Honey is truly a blessing and Honey is extremely lucky to have joined this family who are the true embodiment of a big-hearted rescue family.
