Monique and her husband had shared their home with Jack Russell terriers throughout the years and were now ready to adopt a new fur baby. Having decided she wanted more freedom to be able to leave the house, Monique and her husband decided it was time to adopt a cat. Monique had a lot of experience working with cats while she was employed by Tiger Tails Animal Hospital in Georgia before moving to Sarasota this year. Monique’s daughter had also moved here with her two cats and Monique had decided to plant some catnip along with her other herbs. She was browsing PetFinder looking for a bonded pair of senior cats when she came across Lynx’s bio and discovered that he “Loves Catnip”! That seemed like a sign and when they went to meet Lynx, they learned that he was best buddies with Bentley and quickly fell in love with both of them. Lynx and Bentley made themselves perfectly comfortable in their new home very quickly. The multiple sliding glass doors across the back of the house give Bentley and Lynx fabulous views of the outdoors and nature and this bonded pair spend lots of time together; playing, grooming and sleeping. Bentley is a little more outgoing, waking Monique each morning at 6:30 by jumping on the bed, circling her head, making biscuits and sweetly purring, while Lynx, who is somewhat more subdued watches from the floor patiently waiting for Monique to arise. Bentley is quickly learning that wake up time is 7 am, but he still tries to persuade Monique to get up a little earlier.
