Katie and her family had adopted 9 year old Stella for Satchel’s last year and she had stopped by Satchel’s to drop off donations. The family had recently lost their 17 year old dog and Katie was invited to take a walk through the kennel area. Katie and her family have always adopted senior dogs and she stopped immediately when she saw Triscuit, an adorable 13 year old, who just so happened to be housed in Stella’s previous kennel. Katie felt that Triscuit would be the perfect new sibling for her pack and they all got along when they met. Triscuit, now known as JJ, is thriving with her siblings, Stella, Chip, and Archie. They love to walk together and JJ has a special wagon to ride in. The siblings have a great time playing in the back yard and although they all keep track of JJ, Stella is the “Mama Bear” keeping watch over JJ at all times. Katie says that JJ becomes very active after dinner and loves to wander throughout the house checking every room. It’s also a special time when Dad arrives home from his golf outings as JJ knows that is a sure sign that he will be treating her with chicken. Katie had a St. Patrick’s Day party for her girlfriends and all the dogs were dressed up in their festive St. Patty’s day scarves. Being small and very quiet, JJ wore a special party accessory so Mom could keep track of her whereabouts at all times and she looked quite adorable with her green balloon towering above her in the air. JJ is very lucky to have found this perfect family and Katie says they have a great retirement home for their precious canine family!
