Amber, a Satchel’s alumna, had previously adopted both Daryl (Cole) and Randy (Ripley) from Satchel’s years ago. Cole and Ripley, both seniors had passed away since and Amber was ready to adopt again. During his lifetime Ripley had an injury that had required surgery, somewhat similar to Tramp’s Femoral Head Ostectomy. When she saw Tramp’s captivating photo, she reached out to Page to inquire about him. She knew that Tramp would require long time medical foster care before adoption, but she understood what this meant and was confident that she could handle it. From the first day she took Tramp into foster, she knew that she wanted to adopt him. Now known as Huxley, he has healed well and is thriving with Amber and her parents. Huxley is very active and loves his large fenced in backyard where he can run off his energy. There is always someone home so he enjoys plenty of play and walk time and especially loves to go to the Celery Fields and explore. His favorite toy is his “lamb baby”, which he squeaked endlessly lying next to Amber during our phone conversation. Besides being an active playful pup, Huxley is also a super cuddle bug snuggling up to Mom throughout the night. Amber calls Huxley a blessing and in a heartfelt tribute to Cole and Ripley, Amber remarked “The best thing to do to honor their memory is to save another shelter baby”. A great match and a fabulous forever home for Huxley
