Happy Landings for Dolly! Adoption follow up.
Volunteer Anne had taken 12-year-old Dolly into foster knowing she would be fine with her other small dogs. One evening she had invited her parents, Shirley and Bob over for dinner and when Shirley asked Anne what she would be serving, Anne replied, “You’ll LOVE what I have!” Little did they know they were about to meet the most precious little sweetheart and fall in love instantly. Although they had not had a dog for many years, it only took a few more visits before they realized they would be thrilled to have Dolly join their family. Shirley now describes Dolly as genuinely lovable and perfectly compatible with a beautiful spirit. Dolly thoroughly enjoys sharing Bob’s chair and with a subtle signal, she immediately jumps into his lap for their special bonding time. When bedtime arrives, Dolly has found the perfect place for sweet dreams, snuggled in between Shirley and Bob. Anne summed it up perfectly when she said, “Dolly has been the most beautiful gift in my parents’ lives; they are the cutest little pack of three. She brings them so much joy and has filled their days and nights with love. I am so thankful that she found her way into our family!”
