Happy Landings for Cruiser (now known as Cody)! Adoption follow up.
Susan and Larry had lost their 16-year-old GG last May and their 9-year-old Reese in September and needed time to mourn before thinking of adopting again. As a Satchel’s volunteer, Susan would often bring different dogs to their house for a few hours to enjoy time away from the shelter. She had brought Cruiser home a few times and they were enjoying his company and loving his personality. After some thought, they decided to foster him for a few days, but before they knew what was happening, he had wrapped his precious paws around their hearts and they knew they wanted him to become a part of their family. Now known as Cody he is doing fantastic and enjoying an active life. He loves going for walks on the Legacy Trail, often for 4 1/2 miles and also delights in playing with his canine buddies at their community dog park. When Susan and Larry have to be away from the house, Cody is easily crated and it has been a positive experience for him. Cody met three of their grandchildren during the Holidays and they all adore his sweet gentleness. At the end of his fun and active days, he settles into his dog bed for sweet dreams content to be close by Susan and Larry. As Susan put it, “Cody is happy, smart, playful and super sweet and a loving cuddly lapdog whom we adore!”
