Annabelle came to Satchel’s with a feline sibling a couple of years ago when their family moved overseas and these kitties found themselves with nowhere to go. Their people had taken these cats in to get them off the streets, given them their own condo in the home but hadn’t socialized them and so they wanted nothing to do with humans.
Twelve-year-old Annabelle is mostly black with a white spot in the middle of her chest and the shade of her gorgeous green eyes changes slightly depending on the lighting. Annabelle has spent the best part of the past 2 years hiding when anyone is around but, although still extremely shy, she now ventures around the open cat room and really enjoys her time on the lanai. She would likely do best in a home without children or dogs who may increase her anxiety level. She gets along fine with other cats in the open cat room and would be happy to share her home with a feline sibling.
If you have the love and patience to give to Annabelle as she settles into a new home, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will get back to you to set up an appointment for you to meet her.
Sarasota Subaru and Subaru of America will donate $100 for every Satchel’s adoption in the month of October.
