Looking for “the best dog ever” – Look no further, make an appointment to meet Cookie!
A volunteer senior favorite at Satchel’s is 10 year old Cookie (although she’s full of energy and you’d never guess her to be 10). Cookie has grown up at Satchel’s, coming here pregnant 9 years ago. Although she adores people, loves her playtime and then is a snuggle bunny when the day is done, we weren’t sure how she would respond in a home. Had she ever lived in a home? Is she housebroken? How will she transition from a shelter life to a home? A few weeks ago Cookie went into foster with Tom and Teri so we would know what kind of home would be best for her. Well according to her foster parents, Cookie is “the best dog ever”. She has had no accidents, doesn’t chew on anything other than her toys, loves everyone she meets and has even said hello to the neighborhood dogs without any issues. Tom and Teri simply can’t believe this girl hasn’t been scooped up long before now. Just as we believed all along, they have confirmed this girl is beautiful inside and out. She may be dog selective and would perhaps do best in a home as the only dog but we’d be happy to try an introduction with a submissive, older dog.
