One-year-old Pogo came to us recently from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services. This charming girl loves nothing more than curling up in your lap for a cozy snuggle session, never tiring of the affection she receives. Kylie, one of our new volunteers, instantly fell in love with Pogo during their walks together at the shelter and decided she would be the perfect first dog to foster.
Initially, Kylie’s cat wasn’t too pleased about Pogo’s arrival, so we enlisted our experienced trainer, Iris Eastman, to help facilitate a smooth introduction. After several training sessions, Pogo and her feline companion learned to coexist comfortably, leading Kylie to make the heartwarming decision to adopt Pogo officially.
