Throughout April 2019, I introduced you to our heartworm survivors living at the shelter – Azul, Cherish, Kris Kringles, Macho, Merry, Smiley and Tank. Over the past year, Azul, Cherish, Kris Kringles, Merry and Smiley have found their forever homes but Macho and Tank are still patiently waiting at Satchel’s for their very own family to come and meet them, fall in love and take them home forever. Bronson has now been added to that list of heartworm survivors living at the shelter. Dublin is currently in a foster-to-adopt home undergoing heartworm treatment. Several others came to Satchel’s with heartworm disease over the past year; were treated and have found their forever homes.
