Finally, the first phase of The Road Home, a program for our dogs to spend more time outdoors socializing with our exceptional volunteers, getting them ready for their furever homes. Shortages of everything (even available contractors!) and the resulting higher prices wrecked havoc with our original plans, but Jon Shipps, President of family-owned Shipps Excavating, Inc., helped us come up with viable alternatives and then, fit us into his schedule between his other, larger jobs.
This is an ongoing project which will include additional large play yards with water features and a long, winding pathway with shaded stopping off points for our volunteers and the dogs they’re walking.
