Meet Tobie. Tobie is a 13 year old American Pitbull Terrier, weighing around 80lbs, who found his way to Satchel’s a short time ago. It’s rough for a 13 year dog to lose his family and find himself in a shelter environment, so we asked one of our staff members, Kris, to take him home to foster. Here’s some words about this boy from Kris.
He is the most sensitive boy you’ve ever been around. He loves to cuddle, and tell you all about his day. He loves children and other big dogs- but kitties and small dogs scare him. Tobie knows his basic commands in sign language as well as spoken English (outside, sit, stay, etc). This big boy still has spurts of energy and loves to be silly with his toys or a nice bone. He really enjoys going for short walks or just being outside in the yard but he can also be a loving couch potato with you all day too. Tobie was very sad when he had to leave his family after being with them for so long, we’d love to get him in a home and settled as soon as possible so he doesn’t have to ever feel that way again.
