After being trapped to catch by Sarasota County Animal Services, Millie found herself a terrified little girl who spent her time huddled in the corner of the kennel. SCAS reached out to Satchel’s to see if she would be a candidate for our Rescue Rehab Rehome program knowing we give our animals all the time they need to learn to trust. Millie has been with us for 3 months working with her Woof Pack leader Judy. Her progress is slow but she is starting to enjoy the time out of her kennel with Judy. She will now let Judy give her belly rubs and will walk to the end of our long driveway. Millie is looking for a quiet home with few people coming and going. She could possibly benefit from a canine companion to make her feel more comfortable. Judy will continue to work with Millie, giving her all the time she needs but if you feel you have the time and patience to help this young girl learn to trust again, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will set up an appointment for you to meet her.
