Our sweet boy Rick recently returned to Satchel’s through no fault of his own. He quickly fell back into his familiar routine of hanging out with his volunteer friends, sitting on their laps while receiving lots of love and attention. During one of his daily cuddle sessions, volunteers noticed a tell-tale cough and alerted staff. Rick was diagnosed with a grade 5 heart murmur and immediately began treatment for those symptoms.
We knew Rick needed a quiet, understanding home where all of his needs would be met. We were thrilled when former Satchel’s adopters, Katie and Rob, inquired about Rick. They fell in love with Rick at first sight and he went home to his new family shortly after. This lucky boy now joins a warm, welcoming pack of 4 canine siblings, two of whom are also from Satchel’s. Rick’s first full day in his new home started with him enjoying their Sunday morning traditional waffle breakfast, which he absolutely loved. Congratulations to all of you!
