Last fall Goldie found herself at Satchel’s with her brother Jack when their family was no longer able to care for them. The siblings did not seem bonded but we wanted to take our time to determine what adoptive home or homes would be best for them. Once we made the decision to separate them, Jack quickly found his new forever home. Goldie had some severe eye issues and after consulting with a specialist, the decision was made to remove her eye. Goldie went into a foster home and last month Deb made it official and adoped Goldie into her family with Satchel’s alum senior kitty Twink.
Deb has renamed Golidie Alice. Last name Walker. Deb explains that “Alice Walker wrote the book, “The Color Purple”. Oddly, she has one eye!! So it just seemed proper to call her Alice.”
Congratulations to Deb, Twink and Alice!
