Bernie went on an outing to Twin Lakes Park yesterday with volunteer, Gail. They encountered two alligators and a dead fish which made for an exciting adventure for Bernie who always loves his time away from the shelter.
Bernie is considered a special needs dog due to a high anxiety level but we know his person is out there somewhere. Someone who will let Bernie be Bernie with no pressure to become a different dog. He struggles with anxiety when inside and would do best in a home with someone who would take him with them to run errands every day as well as many walks around the neighborhood.
